About
I am not taking paid gigs anymore. All my work is for my own artistic projects or volunteer work for organized charities. I don't take any old project that comes down the pike. I pick my projects and I'm enthusiastic about them. I like working on fun little projects with nice people. I like the variety of work that comes my way and working on creative projects and I especially enjoy photographing charity events. I'm very good at overcoming obstacles on a photoshoot. I've been faced with high winds, rain, power outages, poor lighting, extreme heat and cold, and so much more. The show must go on!

Hired on Thumbtack

I hired Christopher to photograph my wedding. We had a very small backyard ceremony and reception, and I wanted someone to capture that without the whole "wedding photography" spectacle. Christopher was the perfect choice! Neither my husband or I like to have our photo taken, but he made us feel comfortable and at ease, and took some fantastic photos that we actually like. Christopher is professional, talented, and a joy to work with. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to my friends.

Hired on Thumbtack

I hired Christopher to document a surprise party for my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. He arrived early to check lighting and further discuss our vision, lending ideas where we needed help. His photos told "the story" of the day in a beautiful way, catching my family in authentic candid shots as well as in posed group photos. He went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable, he learned everyone's name (19 of us) and really became a member of the party while remaining transparent, working his magic. I received initial images from him (on my phone) before the party even ended! Throughout the week following the party, he kept me posted of where he was at and would intermittently send shots that he thought I would enjoy. In one week, I had all images I was promised! I would only have changed one thing, which was planning for him to stay longer!

What was amazing about working with Christopher is that he was able to not just put me at ease in front of the camera, but also provide ideas and suggestions for different shots that could be useful for me, based on the specifics of my situation. I scheduled a photo shoot primarily because I'm growing a business, and knew it was important to have a few good professional photos to use in online profiles, my blog, and general marketing. Christopher immediately thought beyond the standard head shots, and was able to capture photos that show who I am and the characteristics about me and the way I think that will engage clients. He spent a remarkable amount of time with me, and asked lots of questions about me and my business. He was confident in his craft, and totally relaxed about working in different environments and with someone (me) who had no idea what to do in front of the camera. He was so clear with his communication and suggestions about what I needed to do for different shots, that I was able to relax, settle into the session, and follow his lead. We even ended up doing a second shoot, outdoors, which was a lot of fun. I ended up with more photographs than I ever anticipated, and because they really do show me, I feel genuinely good about using them in both professional and personal contexts. An overall awesome experience, and I never thought I'd say that about being photographed!
