Great experience. Joel worked in a relatively tight space, fixed our dishwasher in ~90 minutes and had time to look at and fix a small leak on our washing machine, too.
The experience saved us about $500 total and we also found a new handyman in him through the process.
For anyone wondering, his communication is perfect. To me, this matters in a big way. I don’t like to guess or worse, misinterpret what someone is trying to tell me. Joel is capable of explaining the problem entirely and clearly. So keep that in mind when you’re looking at options.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is firm and depending on the project, you may be given a higher rate if the job you've requested does not match the work that needs to be done or requires additional steps or materials, but this will always be discussed before confirming the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to stay in contact via the Thumbtack platform directly. If we decided to do future work, we can do so directly via text and/or e-mail. Pictures are always helpful as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've had no certificated or formal training related to the work I do, but all tasks I offer I've had hands-on experience with.
