Fishing trip type
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I take great pride in my boat. It is kept very clean and my equipment is top of the line fishing equipment. My customers deserve the best and I try my hardest to see to it that they have the best experience that I can deliver to them. Algoma is one of the top fishing ports on the great lakes. Year in and year out we rank at or near the top in king salmon and steelhead catch rankings. I have 39 years of professional fishing experience on Lake Michigan and I strive very hard to provide a quality experience for each and every customer. Everyday I wake up expecting to catch lots of fish for my customers. I enjoy meeting everyone that steps on my boat. This is by far a people business and with out all my wonderful customers, it would only be a job. I look forward to showing everyone a great time and am fortunate to operate a business in a wonderful community that also caters to all our nice guests. We have wonderful lodging facilities and many great dining opportunites here in Algoma. And most of all fishing is fun and I enjoy keeping it just that.

I've known Capt. Lee for more than 30 years, and he bleeds Algoma salmon and trout fishing. His tips and tricks have helped thousands of anglers get into fish, whether on his charter boat or heading out on their own rigs after attending one of his off-season sport show seminars. I've stepped on his charter to learn a few of the latest "hot" tips, then spent the rest of my time trying to duplicate that success on my small boat. Even though I can't come anywhere close to the numbers the charter guys put in the cooler, I land a limit of advice to help on my own adventures. If you've got a boat but aren't sure how to get started fishing the big lake, book a charter with Lee and he'll show you the ropes. And if you don't have a boat, well, hook up with Capt. Lee and his crew and then sit back and relax. It won't be long and you'll hear, "Fish On!"

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask your guide how long they have been in business and if they allow customer participation and if they will also share trolling tips and techniques. Make sure you are comfortable with thier answers to your questions and that they seem interested in you. Remember that you will be spending a great deal of time with that guide and you deserve to have good value for your vacation dollar. Ask if you will be fishing with that person, of if they will be putting you on another boat or on multiple boats with several different captains. Ask questions about those captains.
