No complaints, great service. I told him everything that I wanted and didn't want and he did exactly that! The dance floor was packed all night.
This company is awesome! They do everything right! They actually didn't just play music but they entertained and interacted with our guests! Love them! You should definitely hire them for your events!
We booked the John Paris Band for our wedding and they were wonderful! From the planning phone calls, to the actual event, everything went great. Everyone was asking us where we found the band, they told us we should hire them again for a party just because, told us they never dance but the band was so good they ended up dancing, etc. They allowed our little nieces to dance with them up in the performance area, which made their entire year. They also did a great job on all of the emcee work. Start to finish, we could not have asked for better wedding entertainment!
My husband & I had the band Jerry & Nora with the Revue play at our 80th Birthday party. The members of the band radiated good times. They played a variety of tunes, very good. It was just fun, fun & more fun. They are one of the best bands around. We go to see them every chance we get.
I was employed by YOUR MOM band for a few performances. Phil, the band leader, is very organized and communicates well. The band plays popular cover songs and draws a large crowd due to their marketing efforts. They are worth the investment.
It was a pleasure dealing with this group. I have been booking bands for events for over 20 years, and this group was an absolute joy to work with. Great communication, came completely prepared and showed up early!!
Pete and I regularly performed, wrote music and recorded albums together in Shenzhen, China from 20012-2014. I've traveled the world and have performed/collaborated w musicians from all walks of life. Without a doubt, Pete is one of the best. His unique melodic & harmonic guitar colorings are essential in what set him apart from other composers. Pete knows how to listen to each song and write to meet the needs of that song. Pete's written well over 3 albums worth of music and has produce a few of his own music videos. Pete is also a seasoned music teacher, having 3-5 years of classroom teaching of guitar, ukulele in China as well as private lessons in the US over the last decade. And then there's performing: Pete's performed in all manner of venues, all types of bands and with eclectic and unique musicians. Theres very little he hasn't experienced. Whether you want to develop your guitar chops, learn how to song write, pro tips and pointers on performance - Trust me, Pete Kruse is your mentor. I'm his peer and I have learned countless skills from him. He gets my full recommendation.
I highly recommend the Driveway Thriftdwellers. They absolutely killed it for my dad's surprise 60th birthday celebration! We invited 60 family and friends, ages 18-80, to party at our lake cottage. Even with this eclectic group, the guys were able to keep the whole party singing and dancing the entire evening. They played an awesome variety of Americana/Alt-Country music, mixing in original songs and covers from Tom Petty, Rolling Stones and Merle Haggard. Everyone loved them, even my dad, who is extremely picky about his live music. They truly helped take the surprise party to the next level. They're a great group of guys, professional, easy to work with and an awesome price for a full 5-piece band. They have quickly become the go-to entertainment for all of our parties, small or large. Mariel
We had a birthday party for my husband's 55th and Rock Boxx could not have been more perfect! Their energy level accommodated the pace at which we love to celebrate! Family and friends have nothing but excellent comments about the social band members and their music! Can't thank them enough!
I can't say enough about this band! Everyone at the party enjoyed the music and the dance floor was always packed. The band was very accommodating to all of our requests and worked very well with the property owners on sound levels and times. Thanks again to all the band members and the sound guy for an awesome night.....catch you on the FLIP SIDE!!!! - Alyssa

Johnsburg Jimmy Murphy comes from a long line of musical talent, starting from his younger days watching his father Walter play upright bass in a succesful Jazz trio.He was hooked right from the start and began fumbling along at the age of 12.From there he moved over to guitar and made room for his younger brother Lenny to pick up the bass and follow in their dad's footsteps. That was the start of a 17 year run on the streets of Chicago, playing every club they could get their hands on .The stage named Johnsburg was added to Jimmy Murphy due to the large volume of Jimmy's on the circuit by his peers.Johnsburg is the small town from which he currently hails and has always supported.Current projects such as "Johnsburg Jimmy and Freinds: allows for a fresh set of musicians on each run of events and keeps things intersting for his followers. He continues to push the envelope and is on a constant mission to keep the family music alive.Since his brother Lenny's passing in March of 2013 he devotes all of his passion through him and for his memory.See you on the road.....Jimmy
I life coach children and adults with instrumental music. Trumpet is my main instrument. I teach clinics at schools and universities and have a one-man show to promote positive music to children and adults. My band could range in size depending upon the event.
Artist Bio Funny name. Great band! Most groups start with rock and pop and play blues when they run out of material. They start with blues because it's the basis for all-American pop music since early in the last century, then they take great material and do it the way they think it fits for the band. For 22 years, Chainsaw Curtis and the Creepers have been playing a distinctive brand of roadhouse blues, rock 'n' roll, and R&B music all over Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and eastern Iowa. More about Chainsaw Curtis and the Creepers Curt Rodeheaver started playing music on the piano at age nine and picked up the guitar at thirteen. Gigs for high school dances led to his first nightclub work in 1970. He continued to play in bands and in 1981 in Ithaca, New York with band mate Glenn Davis and started a weekly Blue Monday jam session at a night club called the Nines, which is still going today. According to Living Blues magazine, it's one of the longest continuously running jams in the country. In 1989, Curt moved to Southern Wisconsin from upstate New York to open the Silver Moon Blues Oasis in Darien. He got the name Chainsaw from a line in the Huey Lewis song "Cool Is the Rule (But Sometimes Bad is Bad)." The Creepers started as the house band at the Moon backing artists from Chicago. Curtis would occasionally take the band out of the club and do gigs in other area venues. When Curt left the Moon in 1993, he continued to book the band in clubs, at festivals, and parties. There have been many Creepers over the years (more than 35!). The first Creepers album, Too Much Like Work, was released in 1996 and included eight original pieces and three covers. Dave Luhrssen of the Milwaukee Shepherd Express called it one of the best locally produced blues albums. Curt's song "Nine Months of Winter" got to 102 on the Garageband.com over all charts in a field of more than 20,000 songs. The 2000 release Pantloads of Fun included eight original songs by Curt. John Noyd of Maximum Ink magazine called Pantloads a "smokey barbecue reminiscent of ZZ Top and Los Lobos." Chainsaw Curtis is currently working on material for his third album - (Tragedy's Easy) Comedy's Hard. The Creepers have more than a hundred years of experience on stage. There is video of the band on our Reverbnation page. It's blues! It's electric folk! It's American music! Crank it up.
