FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our Fitness Consultants are required to participate in continuing education to maintain their nationally accredited certifications. In addition, we have FT Academy a corporate university program that provides all our professionals a career path of continual skill and professional development.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We work clients with a variety of health and fitness goals and ability levels. We have Fitness Consultants who are trained to work with common injuries, health issues or help you excel at a recreational sport. We can work in continuity with your physician and/or physical therapist through our Physicians Communication Program if you have greater health concerns. Our most common client is between the ages of 40-65 years old looking to improve their quality of life through higher levels of fitness and weight loss.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the company you select has a track record and have been in business for several years. Today, anyone can be a personal trainer - unfortunately. There is no licensing in the profession. Hiring an independent personal trainer or very small operation can be risky because their is no accountability or standards, which in an unregulated profession can be problematic. Don't make your selection based on price alone. Lower price in our profession is a high predictor of quality. Not in all case, but in most.
