During your initial consult, I will develop a personalized training program for you and your family dog. I use science-based, positive and force free methods. I have known Tanya for about three years. She recently started her own dog training business. I have had the opportunity to see just how talented she is. A mutual friend adopted a young terrier, with some pretty serious aggression issues. I have actually been bitten by this dog. I was recently invited to sit in on one of this dog's training sessions and I have to say I was amazed at the changes! After several sessions with Tanya, I was able to walk up this young terrier and pet him-even while he was sitting next to his owner. This would have been impossible before Tanya started working with him. His owner reports that she can finally walk him without his trying to attack other dogs; another milestone for this young terrier. Tanya trains gently, firmly, and with kindness and patience. She never stops observing and reading the "body language" of the dogs she's working with; never letting the training become too stressful. I highly recommend Tanya's services to anyone who needs help with their dog's behavioral problems.

Tanya has been helping me with my dog, Archie. He has been doing wonderfully since we started. But the real training has been for me! As the owner of a "cute" dog, it was real easy to be a softie. Tanya is very kind when she points out that although a loving dog parent is important, it is also important to the dog's mental and physical health to be engaged in training. She has been an incredible help to both Archie and me!

Tanya did an amazing job with our dogs Bandit and Sadie. Bandit is a 90 pound baby who was afraid of his own shadow. Tanya helped teach me how to predict how he would react to people he was afraid of. I am a much more confident large dog owner. Sadie needed some basic training skills after being rescued. Walking a leash was a major concern for me, Tanya helped Sadie walk great on a leash. Thank you Tanya for making me a better owner and them better dogs!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My hours are by appointment only Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and a phone consult is first scheduled to discuss the proceeding steps and gather more detailed information.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently studying as a dog behavior consultant with Dognostics, studying to take my certification exam, attend regular educational seminars with well known and respected educators of dog behavior and training, webinars and read numerous recommended books by my teachers, mentors and colleagues.
