I own a photography company, Zamba Photography,I've been swamped with work and needed someone to help my clients, as our company is turning into a marketing agency. I found Eric on Craiglist. My initial impression on the phone was that Eric sounded professional and experienced, so let's give him a try. His first project was to finish a rough logo for RemEdie's Pet Care Service. He created exactly what I needed. He was fast and responsive and I as happy with the work. I then sent him a logo that had to be sized for a 4'x8' sign for a micro-brewery, and ta-da, within an hour it was done! I've got other projects waiting in the wings for him. Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I gave a restauranteur seven logo concepts and he said he had such a hard time choosing one because he loved them all! And this is someone who has owned restaurants in Napa Valley, San Francisco, and Colorado, so I was proud that he felt my skills exceeded his expectations, and he has worked with some of the best designers out there!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't necessarily look at a designer's hourly rate. A designer might be offering you a cheaper rate, but if they take twice as long to complete your project, that's no bargain! I have a reputation for incredibly fast turnarounds which brings your offer all cost down!
