I had several projects around the house. Handyman matters sends a confimation e-mail a day in advance and has the professional call you themselves to see if you want to discuss your project (s). They sent Mike Burns. He was excellent, friendly, and professional. He gave me a quote that included parts and labor and was able to do the work right away. And the quoted price didn't change! They also guarantee parts and labor for a year.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is simple. We will provide a free estimate with a flat fee. Once the customer accepts that estimate, we will not go over that price. In an unforeseen circumstance, we will talk with the customer, discuss the issue and any additional charges and have them sign a change order before continuing. No surprises.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our customers contact us to arrange an appointment with one our craftsman to get a free estimate. Our craftsman calls the night before to confirm, once on site the conversation is collaborative and at the end we will supply a free 'flat' rate estimate. Once the customer accepts they call and set up an appointment for the work to be done.
