FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I simply calculate the labor costs, material costs, and equipment costs and add them all together for a project cost. I've studied production rates for the last decade so I have a good idea on how long a project will take. I always add some extra time to ensure a good level of cleanup and customer service rather than simply rushing from job to job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to listen and really understand what a client is hoping to achieve. I share my thoughts and experiences on similar past projects to provide an honest assessment on how we can best fit the client's goals, the site needs, and budget. Depending on the level of design needed we might complete some level of landscape design. It could be some spray paint on the ground, a simple sketch, or a multiple sheet design package. If it seems like we're a good fit to work together I will provide a thorough contract for the work that clearly defines the costs, scope, and responsibilities If I'm not a good fit for the work I try to provide some thoughts and recommend another service providers that might be a better fit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
