My son has really enjoyed learning to play the guitar with Steve. Steve adapts his lessons to each individual student and uses songs they enjoy to teach skills and various playing styles. Highly recommended!Mar 19, 2015Verified
Steve is great! Not only is he a genuinely nice guy, he also genuinely wants to help improve your guitar skills! His teaching approach includes a nice mix of theory and technique, while helping you learn songs that are both fun to play and expand your abilities. Hes also great about providing easy access to lessons, songs, and other information via the web. Beyond teaching me some new songs and chords, Steve really helped me understand what I was playing and how I might play it better.Jul 2, 2014Verified
Super nice and patient guitar teacher! He spent time getting to know my goal and my background, and then provides personalized content for the lessons. Would recommend to my friends!Aug 7, 2014Verified
I wanted to learn to play acoustic guitar for years, and I finally decided to try. After looking around a bit, I found Steve, and I couldn’t be happier! I came in with modest goals of just wanting to play some songs that I liked, and within a few months I couldn’t believe my ears! He is great to work with, and lessons were always a pleasure. He made sure that I was always working on a new song as well as learning new skills. I would recommend him without hesitation to beginners and more advanced players alike.Dec 3, 2018
Steve is a great teacher for anyone looking to improve their skills and increase their knowledge of the guitar. He really makes an effort to understand where you are as a player and tailor his lessons to that. He is also more than willing to accommodate your preferences for what type of music to play, which can be seen by the wide range of pieces presented at the jams he organizes for his students. I took lessons with Steve for a little over a year and highly recommend it.Jun 20, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lesson payments are paid in monthly increments. Payments must be received on or before the first lesson of each month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The most important thing with new students is that we start making music right away! You have to be learning things that are not only fun, but something that you can accomplish. This is where my years of experience come in handy. I know the right way to start with a student! Confidence leads to success!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have an Associates degree from UW Baraboo with an emphasis in music. Really though it's all my years of on the job training. Teaching, playing in bands, studio work, writing music, and the music business side of things.
