FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In the case of a small addition or renovation, we are able to work on an hourly basis of $74/hr—quite a competitive rate when compared to other design and architectural services—along with an agreed amount of time needed. When we speak with a potential client, what you should expect is a thoughtful, agreeable amount of services based on your project’s scope, quality, and size/space requirements needed to complete the project. Only after an assessment such as this, both we and you will know where we stand and what to expect.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Way before an agreement is made with Bouril Design Studio, Bob or one of his colleagues will have a one-on-one consultation in order to listen and gather what you’re looking for, what type of property you have, where it’s located, and so forth. Whether or not you contract with us, the feedback we provide will certainly be of use to you and your project. Not only will you have a better idea of what the possibilities are but also what pitfalls you could look out for and potentially save yourself thousands of dollars in construction-related costs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our office has state licensed and technically proficient professionals. Those with state licenses have gone through the rigors of—on average—a dozen years of focused study and practice prior to taking a 7-part state examination. Those who are technically proficient have focused on one or two aspects of design and construction process. In any event, all of our people bring a high level of knowledge, ability and confidence to each and every project.
