- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I met with a business owner that is in the same line of work and he told me that there are many businesses out there that want to advertise with this method. He also went on to tell me that he had to turn down a lot of businesses because he could not supply the demand. Instead of taking a job to work for him, I told him that I might decide to start my own business. He then told me that he was thinking about leaving the industry and that he would refer all his clients to me when he did. So here I am, getting my foot in the advertising industry.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We offer a printing service, where we print advertisements for a small fee then distribute them. We also place the flyers and menus that businesses already have printed with ours and distribute them. This is the most common type of jobs that we do because restaurants have boxes of their takeout menus available.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. There are only a few other companies out there that distribute flyers in Green Bay. Their prices may not be the same and the services may not be same. I would say asking questions and visiting their social media sites to see what others are saying about the different companies is a good way to learn about what company would be the best match for your business.
