Justin, Max, and Chris did a terrific job assisting us when our old furnace decided that it had had enough during the coldest part of January. First off, when we called the main number at 9:30 PM, there was someone there to direct us to Justin, who took the call willingly. Justin properly diagnosed the issue over the phone based on a description of the issues we were encountering, a diagnosis that was confirmed when the old furnace was replaced. Justin did a great job laying out all the options that were available to us in the situation, and his professional experience made it so that we made the best decision for us.Max and Chris did a great job during the installation. Both were very respectful of the parts of the house they had to traverse to get to the furnace. The new furnace looks great and Max and Chris were very personable, willingly answering questions that I had during the installation process and doing their best to work quickly (the house was pretty cold by this point). Overall, they were terrific to work with.All in all, my wife and I are very glad that Professional Heating and Cooling were around to help us out with this issue. We now have a service agreement with them for both our AC and our furnace, and we believe that we are doing all we can to ensure the proper operation of our equipment in the future by working with this team.

First time home owner, and my first time calling for a furnace repair company. I was Completely ripped off hy this company and feel like i was scammed, No communication from the technician prior to arrival abiut service charges, no quote prior to starting any work, couldnt replace or repair a simple mercury gas on/off safety switch to my furnace. " I called around to a few local furnace repair shops early morning October 1st here in port washington. It was pretty early about 6am, and the first call back i got was from this company. A technician left a voicemail stating he was sorry he missed my call, but to contact him back if i still am looking for repair service. It was about 8am, and sure enough i still had not reached anyone yet for a repair job. I called this guy back as soon as i recieved his voicemail. I called and was on the phone for less than 5 minutes explaining to the technician the trouble i was having with my furnace. I told the technician what the solution and fix was going to be, and part i needed, in order to get me back up and running with heat. The tech said hes in the area of port washington where i lived and was a few blocks away and can be at my place within 5 minutes to check out my furnace. I was happy to hear that such a quick appointment was available right away. Soooo...... The technician asked me for my address and said he will be there in a couple minutes. The technician never mentioned or warned me of any vehicle trip charges that would be applied if i agreed to have him come out. Not one hint or advisement about any charges were brought to my attention over the phone prior to his arrival. So the technician arrives at my house literally within a few minutes after hanging up, and puts on his booties on his boots and asks to the location of my furnace. He has with him an ipad, and a few sets of testing equipmemt like a voltage/ohm meter for testing wiring, and connections. He proceeds to my basement after i showed him where to go. While making our way to the furnace i again explained to him what i thought the problem was, after doing some tests myself with equipmemt i have of my own. Again i told him what i thought needed to be replaced. I was ignored for the most of the time i was explaining the problem, as he had started to perform the same voltage tests i completed myself.After a total timespan of about 10 minutes from when the technician entered my home, he diagnosed and confirmed the same thing i told him ahead of time. He responds saying he cannot fix the issue because he doesnt have the part. He gave me 2 options to get my heat fixed same day. Option#1- spend about 900 dollars to upgrade my furnace with newer parts to have no need for a mercury safety switch anymore, or Option#2- spend about 4-5 thousand and Replace the entire furnace as its about 25 years of age. I couldnt believe the fact that after telling the technician over the phone what part i needed before his arrival, he could have told me if he has the part or not without coming to my house. Heres why i rated this company 1 star, it would be 0 stars if i could but google dont allow any less. ( A total of 13 minutes the technician has been in my home, and confirmed the part i said needs replacing is correct, he proceeds to tell me that the service charge for him coming out is exactly $136.23. I said are you kidding? I was never made aware of a trip charge prior to your arrival, i told you the part i needed prior to your arrival, you could have told me you didnt have that part over the phone instead of wasting my time and money. Im furious that this company literally scammed me out of alot of money to tell me something i already told them prior to comming out, and to not have the brains to warn me of any charges before ANY ARRIVAL, OR WORK BEGINS! So here i am October 22nd, 3 weeks after they took my money, and im still without the part, and heat. I am in the process of trying to find the part i need online so i can hopefully fix it myself because i will not be calling this company back for a followup.

We removed our Overtime rate, even though the service call was on the weekend where our Employees are paid very well to leave their homes / families and service our customers. We also attempted to work out a payment plan with you in order to ease the pain of an unplanned repair expense.
