Storm Guard: Roofing, Siding, Gutters, Painting
About this pro
I've never written a bad review, but this experience was so terrible I had to take the time to do it. I hired this company because they were a larger company and offered warranties. The lady who did the bid, Jenna, was very nice and assured me they could get the job done in a week and I would be satisfied with the completed project. The job ended up taking 3 weeks. They only sent one person out to work the entire time. There were several issues they had to fix, and at first it seemed like they would work to fix everything. I'm not a drywall expert, but I noticed several issues, which they promised would be invisible after completion. They actually muddled over several of my vent covers! There was drywall mud on everything. I also asked why the gaps around the can lights were so big- and they said the rims would cover that area. After they left, my electrician came and asked why his wires were pulled out of the wall in random spots. Apparently, storm guard guessed where they should be and just picked spots to pull them out. I had to pay my painter to fix all the holes because he needed to paint that day. There were obvious seams everywhere, and I had several contractors say that it was poor work. After the paint was done the seams were even more obvious. I called storm guard because I knew they had a warranty and was hoping they would fix the problem. They said they would fix the seams, and then they no-showed for two days. I called them upset with the quality of the work and they defended basically everything-even saying their seams were perfect in the areas where they hung them. They did new drywall on a whole bedroom ceiling and there are huge seams everywhere! They also never offered to repaint it or pay for my painter to repaint if they were to repair it. Then, after my complaints, they actually told me that I was taking no responsibility.? Completely baffled by my experience with this company, which started out so well.Apr 26, 2017Verified
They taped mudded and prepped with knockdown our new addition proximately 40 x 30'. They also are currently working on taking off the entire wall and ceiling of a Nother room and preparing it to be paint ready . The project is not finished however we are extremely pleased so far. with Jenna, and Corey, we have no doubt the job will be perfect when done. Price quotes are outstanding as well😀 I'm already recommended them to friends and family.Apr 6, 2017Verified
