FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is done on a job by job basis, and will either be sent in an estimate as a bid or if agreed upon by the customer the job will be priced based on T and M (time and materials). T and M is how long the job takes per hour and how much the materials cost + time to obtain them. I will not up-charge for material if the customer either orders and picks it up themselves or has it delivered. If the customer does order themselves they need to confirm with me first to make sure it will work for the job at hand (otherwise if it does not I will have to charge to replace). There are no hidden fees, gas is included in my labor/time costs. I will require a form of payment immediately after the job is completed (cash, check, venmo). There is a minimum of $120 for any job/service work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process is to meet with the customer at their home to discuss the project and see what work needs to be done. I will then send the customer an estimate for the job based on time and materials. If the customer decides they want to order the material themselves then I will just charge for time, but they need to order what we discussed originally. If a customer orders something that will not work for the job, I will have to charge them to replace it. After the estimate if the customer decides to move forward we will schedule a date and time for the job to be completed.
