FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very competitive with other contractors. I offer discounts to military veterans. I also give referral bonuses to current customers. I have no unexpected fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process for working with a new customer is pretty straight forward. I like to meet with the new customer and introduce myself and let them get to know me a little. Then, I move on to discussing the upcoming project. I ask a lot of questions and do a lot of listening. This give them time to make sure that I'm a good fit for them. It also gives me time to make sure the project is a good fit for me. Sometimes, depending on the scope of work, I will give an estimate on the spot. If the scope of work is bigger and requires more time to estimate, I will take the information home and begin to create an estimate. This generally takes a day or two at most. I then schedule a return visit with the customer and discuss the estimate with them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.O.R. in Business Management from WVUIT.(formerly WVIT) I also have multiple certificates in construction estimating, roofing solutions for metal and asphalt, blueprint reading I and II. In addition, I have 6 years experience selling building products to homeowners and contractors. Before having experience in the building industry, I lost my home due to fire. That was a very difficult time. I had to deal with multiple contractors and had VERY limited knowledge about construction, so I trusted them. As a result, I was taken advantage of and got a poor job that cost a lot of money that I couldn't afford. With experience selling the roofing products, installing the products, and the experience of dealing with contractors, I believe it gives me a unique perspective. I have never forgotten how it felt to be "ripped off" by my contractor. I go out of my way to make sure I don't put my customers in the same situation.
