About
Zach is a Los Angeles based photographer, specializing in portraiture, fashion, engagement and event photography. My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. I focus on non-models and place regular people in exaggerated situations that highlight aspects of who they are. I look for a sense of defiance and originality in my work. I have always found photographing people fascinating, trying to capture them in their best light and illustrating their story. My choice to pursue a career in photography has been driven by what I have always been drawn to in photography: capturing people and their personalities.

I can't say enough about Zach. He is professional, loves his profession, highly detail oriented, and honest. Zach captured the magical moments of my surprise proposal to my girlfriend, now fiancé ;) I had asked Zach and a friend of his to play along as wine tour-goers as I surprised my girlfriend on a wine tour. Zach captured the moments leading up to the proposal, the proposal itself, and shots at the after party. Zach even met me up a couple days prior to the event to go through all the details, which showed true professionalism. The shots came out amazing, Zach even provided a few photos within a couple hours of the event for us to share on social media. The editing work done afterwards for the rest of the shots was done in a very timely manor, and Zach's commitment to the project after the event was just as professional and responsive as prior to the event. The shots came out so well that my fiancé said "With these photos, we don't even need an engagement shoot", which I thought was the ultimate compliment to Zach's work. His personality also makes him very enjoyable to work with, which is a HUGE plus. I would highly recommend Zach, and would hire him again for another project in a heartbeat.

Zach is the epitome of professionalism - with an edge that makes him unique. He has a great eye for color, contrast and immediately knows what works best for his client (yet always open to suggestions). Zach also does his homework: he asks thought provoking questions and gets a understanding of expectations and needs before each shoot. I highly recommend him!

Zach is a really talented photographer. I used him to capture a drive in Malibu with an old car I rebuilt. It was so much fun! We took the PCH and went to a great location he knew about, right on time for the sunset. He truly captured the magic of this special moment, the beauty of the car and the sunset. For this I am very grateful! He is easy going, great to talk to and made me felt confortable. It was almost like spending time with a friend! I can't recommend him highly enough. I used his pictures for a publication and in all my social media. I am really satisfied by his work and get compliments every time people see the pictures he took of me.

We used Zach Treister Photography for our maternity photos, and could not have been more pleased with our results or with Zach's talent and professionalism. He made the shoot so comfortable and fun, and the photos were phenomenal. Zach has a wonderful eye and an original perspective which really drew us to his work. We cannot recommend Zach highly enough, and will definitely be using him in the future to capture more of our special moments as a new family of three!!
