Zach is a Los Angeles based photographer, specializing in portraiture, fashion, engagement and event photography.
My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people. I focus on non-models and place regular people in exaggerated situations that highlight aspects of who they are. I look for a sense of defiance and originality in my work.
I have always found photographing people fascinating, trying to capture them in their best light and illustrating their story. My choice to pursue a career in photography has been driven by what I have always been drawn to in photography: capturing people and their personalities.

Zach is the epitome of professionalism - with an edge that makes him unique. He has a great eye for color, contrast and immediately knows what works best for his client (yet always open to suggestions). Zach also does his homework: he asks thought provoking questions and gets a understanding of expectations and needs before each shoot. I highly recommend him!

We used Zach Treister Photography for our maternity photos, and could not have been more pleased with our results or with Zach's talent and professionalism. He made the shoot so comfortable and fun, and the photos were phenomenal.
Zach has a wonderful eye and an original perspective which really drew us to his work. We cannot recommend Zach highly enough, and will definitely be using him in the future to capture more of our special moments as a new family of three!!

Zach is profoundly dedicated to his craft and made me feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera. I was initially nervous as I had no prior modeling experience, but he directed me with a smile on his face, exhibiting tremendous energy, and was knowledgeable about the right angling and lighting to capture the best photo. Soon, I quickly became comfortable in front of the camera due to the confidence he instilled in me and the trust I developed at his professionalism and ease. The quality of his product is beyond impressive, and I would like to work with him and continue to be a voyeur to his creations.
