- How did you get started doing this type of work?
While in college I worked at a nearby salon and day spa as a makeup artist doing homecoming and prom makeup. I really discovered my passion when I worked as a manager at Victoria’s Secret when they had their beauty bar after college. I found it rewarding to help my customers to find the perfect makeup to suit their lifestyle or occasion. It has been my passion ever since!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You will want someone who makes you feel relaxed and confident. Someone that you’ll want to recommend to your family, friends and to keep for all of your upcoming special occasions. Finding the right makeup artist for your wedding or event is critical. You don’t simply want to find an artist who does exceptional work, but you should consider finding one whose personality compliments your own so you can feel comfortable about sharing this happy occasion. These memories will last, and your photographs will reflect the mood/emotions from that day forever.
