- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discovery & Goal-Setting We kick off with a 30–45 min call where I learn about your business, audience, pain points and must-have features (e.g. community feeds, user roles, messaging). This helps me tailor a solution that really moves the needle for you. Scope & Proposal Within 48 hours I’ll send you a clear scope document outlining features, timeline, deliverables and a fixed quote. Once you’re happy, we sign a simple agreement and I collect a 50% deposit to lock in your start date. Design & Feedback Loop I produce wireframes or high-fidelity mockups so you can visualize the look and feel before any code is written. You review, request tweaks, and sign off—usually within 1–2 rounds—to keep us on schedule. Full-Stack Development I build your site using the right stack (Webflow or custom React/Node.js) and integrate any community or social-networking components you need. I’ll share weekly progress demos so you always know where we stand. Testing & QA Once development is done, I run cross-device testing (mobile, tablet, desktop), performance optimizations (speed, SEO basics) and security checks. I’ll walk you through everything in a staging environment. Launch & Training We flip the switch: DNS, hosting configuration, analytics and any email/SMS integrations go live. Then I train you (or your team) on how to manage users, content, and basic updates. Ongoing Support After launch I stick around for 30 days of complimentary bug-fix support. From there you can opt into monthly maintenance or feature-growth packages to keep your community thriving.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first dipped my toes into web design in May 2021—teaching myself HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript through tutorials and small personal projects. Almost immediately I realized how much I loved the blend of creativity and problem-solving that comes with building a site from scratch. Within a year my hobby turned into real work when a friend of a friend asked me to help launch BidPrep, a construction-bidding SaaS platform. That project was my first foray into full-stack development—designing user interfaces in Webflow and wiring up secure, membership-based functionality with Node.js. Seeing how a smooth, polished web experience could transform people’s workflows confirmed that this was the career I wanted. Since then I’ve continued honing both the design and backend sides of building websites—helping small businesses like salons, electricians, and local service providers launch sites that look great, load fast, and actually convert visitors into customers.
