Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Some inspectors use pre-made checklists or computer programs for on site reporting. Some work for large engineering firms and perform many inspections per week.. My inspections are in narrative, easy to understand format, with the digital pictures worked in with the narrative paragraph. Each inspection is treated individually, and I have a somewhat personal relationship with my client... Anyone, even if they have no knowledge of the components of a home, will be able to understand my findings. I am also the only Certified Master Inspector© in the State, and always send two inspectors. We feel you deserve better than the cheapest can offer I enjoy working with people, and helping them understand about their home. I like to think that what I do has an affect on their decision, and that they are better informed as a result of my findings and explanation

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Continuing education in the inspection field is mandatory in the State of WV. I exceed the minimum requirements each year. My education includes on line training, seminars, and safety training. With the industry standards constantly changing, continuing education is an excellent way to stay up to date with various codes and procedures, even if it weren't mandatory.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common types of jobs performed are finding deficiencies in a home. Many of these deficiencies are either overlooked or purposely concealed by the homeowner. My job is to find them and point them out to a potential buyer, so they can be repaired, replaced, or price negotiated prior to the closing date

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Your Home Inspector should be State Certified and licensed and insured. He should be looking out for your best interest, and be thorough and sincere.
