FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every client's needs are individual and I price based on those needs. I also try to sell prints at cost so that my profit comes from the service itself. I try to be creative to keeps costs down for customers. I have a senior ambassador program to help needy kids earn their senior portraits for just the cost of their prints and I am experimenting in other ways to save clients money on an upcoming wedding this summer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't even own a camera in college. I wish I did. I started out taking a sweet 16 photoshoot of my niece my senior year in college with a point and shoot just for fun. The shots came out great! But my passion really blossomed when I lived and worked at the Grand Canyon for a year and a half. Since then I have learned so much about the craft. It really is an art that can't be perfected in a classroom. There is so much technical stuff you can learn online. The rest is just the eye behind the camera and being creative in how you capture it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
