Introduction: My name is Steve Schlager, and I have been involved with photography the majority of my life, however I started my professional business in the late '90s. I provide professional photography services for portraits, weddings/special events, commercial and fine art prints. I have a studio in downtown Casper, Wyoming, but "I have a camera, and I will travel". My studio lighting setup is portable, so if you want portraits done at your home or work, I can do that! I really enjoy working with a customer who comes to me with an "idea" of what they are looking for, then I do my best to bring their "idea" into fruition. I love the challenge and personal reward of having a happy customer.

What types of customers have you worked with?
Currently, the most requested services are wedding photography and family portraits. Of the family portraits, I get about an equal request for studio, outdoor or other location sittings.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask to see their portfolio or their website address. Websites are a great tool that the customer can use to get an idea of the photographers style and quality of their work. Check some of the more common review sites and see if they have a pattern of negative reviews or complaints. Also, talk to your friends. They may have used the photographer at some other time and they may help you decide of the photographer you are looking at meshes with the type of end product you desire.
