Sally is the consummate professional. She is extremely detailed-oriented, sensitive to the client's needs, always thoughtful regarding the budget and the deadlines, and the kind of team player that you want on your project. She has superior writing, editing and proofing skills, along with all of her marketing communications talents. She is culturally, socially and technologically aware, and stays focused on presenting a superior product. I have worked with Sally on several projects over many years, and can honestly say that each time the end result is far better with her being a part of it.

Sally has done media relations work for us for many projects. She is remarkably good at connecting with the press and getting stories placed, and helping us to mobilize our grass roots through letter-to-the-editor campaigns.

Unfortunately, this was an upsetting experience for me. Despite having a detailed discussion of what and how I wanted the speech written, the first draft from Sally was filled with cliches, and in multiple paragraphs, Sally copied my notes verbatim in the draft. The speech lacked the elements I requested, and frankly, read as if someone without journalism experience wrote it. During our phone interview, Sally spent nearly a half-hour asking questions, such as "how many people will be in the audience?" "will you be standing at a podium?", etc, which I found completely irrelevant. I made the mistake of not asking Sally for copies of her previous work. I still paid for the services given a signed contract with Sally, but in the future, will not work for her again.
