- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge $90 per hour for consultation, however we credit that fee back to our clients at the rate of one hour for every three hundred dollars you spend. If you spend over three thousand dollars, there will be no design fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, we like to have our first appointment at the clients home, if it is already built that is, so that we can get to know the client and see their style. From there, we have a second appointment either in our showroom or back at the home of the client depending on the project. From this point we usually pick a design scheme from what we prepared and start tweaking the fine points.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At DSI we have several designers on staff with a range of skills and expertise in various areas. Dana opened her firm 9 years ago in Albuquerque, but has more than 30 years of experience as a designer and fabricator in the industry in New Mexico and back home in Maryland. Her husband, Todd, brought his talents in architecture, installations and more to the business recently giving us an encompassing perspective on all things related to home design from the ground up. DSI also has designers on staff who have a range in experience in the industry, from selling furniture, representing furniture, kitchen and bath design, landscape design and fine art installation. Together, we work to bring our clients an exemplary product with exceptional customer service.
