- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to get a feel for not only the person behind the writing, but also their intent. The more I know about your unique voice and direction, the more I can ensure my advice will suit your personal style. I also closely survey your documents to ensure your requests cover everything the project may require.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked with authors of widely varying backgrounds (both young and old, writing for genres such as autobiography, history, fantasy, LGBT+, and more) for a little over a half-decade. I began my work in earnest just before earning my Bachelor's degree in Film and Media Studies at Arizona State University—a program with an exacting focus on both writing and critical story analysis. This has, in particular, equipped me well for partnering with the quickly growing number of authors with highly cinematic writing methods. My degree lends me a slightly nonstandard history, but it has given a unique lens to my analysis which one of my clients even called "life-changing".
