FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the footage of the fence, # of gates and cost of materials. Giving a quote over the phone isn't fair to either party and that's why I come out to the property. I want to make sure that I give an accurate quote based on my measurements and that way there are no surprises. I also like to meet the person that I may be working with.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process begins with a conversation with the customer and I'll set up a time that's good for the customer for me to come out, measure where the fence will be and give the customer a quote. I want the customer to feel comfortable hiring me. In the world we live in today, you can never be too careful with who you meet and that goes both ways. From there, it's up to the customer on whether they hire me or not.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received the best training in this type of work and that's on the job training. I worked for a friend of mine who has been in this business since 1994 and he taught me everything I know. When building a fence, whether it's chain link, privacy, aluminum, etc., you either take the time to do it right or you don't. I take my time and I make sure it's done as if it's on my own property.
