Introduction: Hi! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. Just to tell you a few things about me: I have years of experience in the building and design field and have earned my Bachelors degree in Interior Design from UT Arlington. I can consult on an overall project, but focus mainly on kitchen and bath cabinetry and stone countertops (granite, marble, and quartz). I also have contacts in the construction business that I can trust to do the install/labor side correctly. They own their own businesses and can do any plumbing, electrical, or remodel work you'll also need.
The service I provide includes a site visit where I do the measurements for the space and go over the style of cabinetry you're looking for. After I get the info I need, I will create a 3D rendering of what your space would look like. This would also include the plans and elevations for the space. Then if there's anything you would like to change, I can do revisions and send back revised drawings.
A little about the cabinetry that I use:
1) All of the boxes (or carcasses) are made out of plywood. This is an important detail to look at when your looking at different cabinets and pricing. Lower end cabinets are made out of cheap particle board. This is especially important to notice when you're around water sources such as sink bases for the bath and kitchen. One small water leak and your cabinets will be ruined if they are particle board- they soak up water and start to crumble.
2) The frames and doors are made out of maple and are either stained or painted.
3) All the drawers and doors come standard with soft close hardware and full extension drawer guides. This is typically an expensive upgrade in most cabinet manufacturers.
4) All the cabinets I use are RTA (ready-to-assemble). The quality you get from this type of cabinetry is as close you can get to expensive custom cabinetry without spending a fortune. There are plenty of upgrade and design specific cabinets you can still get with this type of cabinetry including spice pull-outs, trash bases, lazy Susan's, wine racks, glass doors, etc...
