- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate for kids is $25hr with a 2hr minimum, and $45hr for Adults with a 2 hr minimum for sewing lessons. Advanced Design lessons (pattern making, draping, etc) are $60hr with a 2hr minimum. I also teach specific project classes by small group and those are priced at a flat rate based on the difficulty of the project and cost of supplies.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an assessment of what the customer would like to accomplish, a quote estimate is given, initial payment is received and work begins.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've attended both the Art Institute of Atlanta and Art Institute of California - Hollywood, as well as IADT - International Academy of Design and Technology in Sacramento. I then went on to work in the Apparel industry, studying under top professionals and celebrity designers, to become a master seamstress, pattern maker, sample maker, and freelance designer with my own celebrity clientele.
