Introduction: Bare Bones Translations is a boutique-style translation agency in Austin, TX providing translation services, interpreter services and intercultural awareness training with a commitment to top quality. Having worked on both sides of the Atlantic (Germany, Switzerland and the USA), I myself had many occasions of overseeing translations of German-to-English as well as English-to-German text. Very often, I myself had to go through the text to make sure the translation was 100% correct and 'native'. I can't tell you how many times I found very severe mistakes. This sparked the idea of providing a different type of translation office! Focusing on what we know best.
