- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each event is unique, and so the pricing for each event will vary according to the event menu, presentation needs, venue type and location. We try to work within your budget to make serving high quality BBQ at your special event affordable and memorable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Because we treat each event as a unique affair, we like to begin each event planning stage with a phone call or face-to-face visit to get a sense of what your unique needs are for your event. During this time we can discuss your particular event meal needs, including your menu selections and presentation goals. We can deliver a detailed quote to you within a few days. Then if your event is a wedding, we'd like to meet with you at some point before your special day and visit the venue to get a feeling for the layout and ambiance we have to work with.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Troy has been perfecting the art of smoking meats for years, initially serving it at dinner parties hosted at home. Our church got wind of his talents and began requesting him to smoke his meats for various church functions with guest counts ranging from 30-500 people. Before long an excited buzz could be heard when it became known that "Troy's BBQ" would be served. Out of this popularity, private requests began trickling in for full service Texas BBQ catering at weddings and other events, which in turn continued the cycle through satisfied guests recommending or requesting our service. And now here we are, with a private request base to keep us regularly occupied.
