Introduction: Sylwia was a working student at Legacy Hill Farms under Michelle Lauber, training through Grand Prix movements for competition and sales, and a current trainer and dressage competitor at White Fences Eq. Ms. Reshel and her husband are also experienced importers of European sport horses, and are always happy to help pair riders with horses when necessary. Ms. Reshel was awarded her English Instructor License from the Ministry of Sports in Poland in 2010, and has worked with multiple trainers and barns in Italy, Poland and the US gaining immeasurable experience as a rider and working student in Classical Dressage, Jumping and Eventing. Ms. Reshel follows the classical horse training of Mr. Krzysztof Skorupski, notable veterinarian, trainer and author of ‘Horse Training Psychology’ (not available in English) to supplement her extensive experience developing both young and experienced riders, and working with difficult or sensitive horses. Sylwia’s main motto is: “Play with the horse and be demanding of yourself, not the horse!” “Be humble!” and is a huge proponent of perfecting the rider’s seat.

I purchased a horse from R&S in July of 2017. They were very straight forward and open with the history and care of the horse. The well-being of the horse was very important to them and they took the necessary steps needed for caring for her. They were very easy to work with, very responsive and professional. Sylwia was accommodating, helping me to continue with the training of the horse. Sylwia is honest, patient, considerate, educated, knowledgable, fun and just a nice person and trainer. They were a pleasure to work with.

Silvia has a unique and meticulous training style that has the ability to keep riding techniques fresh and natural. Her attention to detail adds a personalized quality to the material during training. One of the most impressionable qualities is the attention to the horse’s body language and movement. As well as, how the rider corresponds with the horse. Silvia is very driven and motivated, with the ability to help all riders find and reach their goals.

I choose to train with Sylvia because she’s positive and professional. She’s also open to what I must have in a coach. The freedom to reward my horse immediately when he gets even a remote understanding of what we ask him. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please note I offer training to students who have their own horse. Being a military spouse I offer discounts for military families and veterans. Discounts are being offered also for clients who train at least 3 times per week, who purchase full month horse training or need at least 3 horses to be trained at the same location. Individual lessons and horse training (depending on frequency, time to commute, discounts): $65-$85/training Full month horse training: $900-$1200/month. Open to talk about various scenarios and opportunities.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to work with individual customers and/or train multiple horses. I always asses the training level first, spot training gaps and set expectations (training goals and individual approach). Training makes sense when it has certain frequency and there is a will to learn. Therefore I help my clients to build a training calendar. Physical fitness of the rider is very important and that’s why I also provide personalized recommendations on exercises which will best benefit the rider and her/ his horse.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m certified English horse riding instructor. Certification earned in September 2010 by a Ministry of Sports in Poland.
