FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I accept all major insurances
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Past medical history is extremely important. I begin the first session with specific questions which will help me under your limitations, concerns, and how your injury manifested. It is extremely rare for an injury to occur without a functional weakness above or below the point of pain. Understanding the compensation patterns and postural habits will help focus the treatment and resolve the injury much faster and prevent recurrence.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Elon University in NC. Since then, I have worked and treated engagement injuries of U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army personnel. While living in Belgium, I worked with national soccer players; returning athletes to full speed post game injuries. Recently, I worked in a multidisciplinary health center, creating comprehensive treatment plans with acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists and yoga instructors. Through all those experiences, I have learned manual therapy, sports massage, deep tissue cell mobilizations, aquatic therapy, joint mobilization, active release, muscle energy, functional dry needling, and postural re-education.
