FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Overall design fees depend on the complexity of the work, square footage and permit involvement which I will evaluate at the initial client meeting. Some projects are hourly some and are lump sum. I offer Thumbtack client discounts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide a free initial meeting to evaluate the space and learn about my clients' needs, goals, budget and timeline. From there, I can provide a customized proposal according to my clients' overall budget for review. Usually, my services include options of space planning, interior space and featured element design, finish material selection, lighting design, budget control/value engineering and furniture selection if desired.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Washington State University. 10 years into my commercial architecture career, I completed a three year training at Bellevue College Interior Design and Fine Art Programs. Right now, I stay on top of my clients and maintain the most current professional knowledge for commercial interior architecture by attending continuing education courses provided by AIA, GBCI, seminars and conferences.
