Introduction: With each image, I try to capture not just the “moment,” but the heart of the scene. Be it a couple, a professional, a student, or musician: I try to find the pieces that distil the essence of each person.
During each session, I make it a habit to get to know my clients and what attracted them to hire a photographer. Maybe it’s just for the memories, maybe it’s for work, but often I find that there is more to each image than the initial conversation reveals.
Every person is unique and with that uniqueness comes the bisecting identities that make us who we are. Every person carries with them an innate beauty, whether they realize it or not. I see it as a challenge to discover that innate beauty and capture it. To me, that is the moment I strive to capture. When it comes to weddings, I love the joy and love that surrounds the whole day. I often find myself getting caught up in the emotion of everything, which often helps me catch those special moments.
