Introduction: With over 10 years of experience in both residential & commercial interior design, my portfolio includes an array of exciting projects, across all styles, helping clients personalize their space. I have worked for some top design companies such as Ken Fulk Inc., Lucky Brand, and Studio Coupar. I love designing trans-formative & stylish yet cozy spaces. I'm a fan of mixing vintage, new & custom pieces, different finishes, colors, textures, and patterns together in order to create the ultimate look. I believe a valuable part of the design process is getting to know my clients on a personal level in order to create a home that truly reflects you and your family. I offer full service interior design services - from concept through completion - providing my clients with a true concierge experience, and managing all aspects of the interior design process. Design services include: architectural drawings & space planning, furniture/fixture/fabric sourcing, custom furniture & lighting design, window coverings, paint selection, art & accessory selection & placement, and overall styling. I also handle the project management side of things such as: wholesale purchasing, sourcing contractors to complete the job, and coordinating the installation of items once they are ready to be moved in.

Tamara is the consummate design professional! I have worked with other designers before and she is the best, bar none. My husband and I have two different styles and priorities. She got to know our tastes and managed to take each of our visions and turn it into a cohesive functional work of art within budget. Tamara is amazing to work with - at your own pace, on your budget and she helped me create my vision into life. She listened to everything I wanted and hated, she gave me her input and she was very “realistic” about it. Tamara transformed my outdated home into a more mid century modern flare with a bit of contemporary , details like vintage-like refrigerator, the cork floor and a raw-edged dining table create a contemporary look. The minimal furnishings—with their clean, mid-century modern lines created a sense of openness. I would definitely recommend Tamara to design your home. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Tamara on my living & dining room renovation. My budget wasn't huge but somehow she managed to still keep all of my must-haves into the design, plus a few more things I didn't know I needed! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are two pricing options: 1. Per hour fee - billed @ $185 (with a minimum of 8 hours) 2. Flat project fee (based on the project square footage).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial call is suggested in order for us to set up an in-person consultation where I would take a look at the space, take some measurements down, and have a discussion with you about your design needs, style, timeline, budget and pricing. After our in-person consultation, I return to my studio to put together a personalized design presentation that includes: furnishing options, floor plans and product samples. I then present these ideas at our following meeting (either in-person or remotely) where we will also review the budget together. The client has the opportunity to review the design and make changes as necessary before work begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold an interior design degree from FIDM in San Francisco, and have previously worked for some top design companies on the West Coast.
