FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Speak with them briefly over the phone or via email to find out what they are looking for to see how I can help them. 2) Schedule an appointment. 3) Meet with the customer either at their house or a location we agree on, depending on what type of training they are looking for or what behavior needs modifying.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After pursuing an A.S. in Business Administration from Dutchess County Community College, Poughkeepsie, NY and a B.S. in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz, NY I graduated from the Master Trainers Program from the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers out of Columbus, Ohio from which I became certified in all phases of training including: Basic On-Leash Obedience, Basic Off-Leash Obedience, Breed Identification; Behavior Modification; Advanced Training; Tracking; Soft-Mouth Retrieval, Scent Detection, Service Dog, Agility, Puppy development; and Protection.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
What started out as a hobby (rescuing strays, training them and finding appropriate homes) neighbors and friends would ask me to help them with their dogs whether it be dog training, sitting or bathing, eventually I decided to go to school to learn more.
