FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I calculate a quote based on the number of services requested (I offer several), labor and materials. I am completely transparent from start to finish about the costs. I find quoting via thumbtack emails a bit difficult based on the maximum allowable characters and the limited information supplied in the customer project requisition, so I hope you'll call me to have a quick discussion so I can offer you the most accurate and competitive quote. I stand behind my work 100% and will not leave a job until you are fully satisfied based on the agreed upon scope of the work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After I email a quote it is important to get on the phone with a client so I can gain a clear understanding of the goals of the project and the client's preferred schedule and working relationship. Are you looking for a knowledgeable helper and work horse or someone who will work completely independently? If we will be working together we need to like each other (right?) and a quick call will give us a sense of whether or not we are a good fit. Preview: I'm a great listener, a can-do/do-what-it-takes person, easygoing when you need me to be, and I am competitive with myself about always getting things done efficiently and carefully. If that sounds good to you, then I might just be the right gal for your job!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I highlight my relevant education and training in my profile, but my primary qualification for your organization/staging/packing/unpacking/painting project is my passion for the work. I don't love doing it in my own home as much ;) but I find helping others tremendously fulfilling and hey, better me than you right?
