FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In general, I charge about $50 an hour, though I may charge more for large or long events. If money is an issue, prices are always negotiable. Price should never keep a child (or adult!) from having a great time at their party or event. For festivals or large events, I am happy to be paid per customer, rather than by the person(s) running the event.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer contacts me, I usually start by asking for information about the date, time, location, and type of event. From that point, we can discuss pricing. For customers who want very specific designs or want to see my ideas drawn out before the event, I recommend a consultation, which is completely free and does not mean you need to hire me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an artist, and have been painting for years. I recently got into special effects makeup, and I'm learning how to apply my painting skill to face and body painting.
