- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If I am cleaning up someone's books for the first time, I charge $55/hour. Depending on how messy the books are, this can range from 30-40 hours worth of work ($1650-$2200). Once the books are clean and functioning properly, I switch to a monthly flat fee to maintain their books based on how many transactions are involved. For most clients, basic maintenance runs $590/month for Accounts Payable / Receivable Invoicing Bank / Credit Card Reconciliations Payroll. I charge an additional $55/hour fee to the monthly charges for Filing Quarterly Tax Deposits Filing Quarterly/Yearly Tax Reports Issuing W-2/1099 forms at year end or any additional bookkeeping requests.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a one-on-one interview (usually skype) to get a feel for the customer's needs and wants. and be sure that we are a good fit for eachother. :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background includes over thirty years of administrative office experience in eleven industries, including over fifteen years as a full-charge bookkeeper. I hold a Certified QuickBooks User designation through Intuit, a Certified Professional Secretary designation through the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), and am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
