Ken Harmar was hired through a referral from a screen cage contractor. Both Mr. Harmar and the screen contractor worked from the same building permit through Manatee County. Once the permit was issued Ken's company did final measurements and engaged a sub contractor to do the actual pouring of the concrete for the 16x20 slab. Ken was on site during the work done by his sub and supervised closely. Ken actual did a major portion of the existing wood platform that the slab was replacing. All work was done to specifications and passed the permit inspection without any change requirements. The final billing was sent to me and was exactly per the quote. His crews did a great job of stacking the used lumber from the platform, cleaning the site of scrap materials, nails and such. The site work was done timely and the project met "the bosses requirements" - the boss being my wife and she is tough! I would use this firm again if a need arises.

Hello, A slight correction to the above review: I didn't engage a sub contractor to do the pouring of the concrete; Those were my own men that did the work with me.

I asked 5 different contractors in the Bradenton/Sarasota Fl area for prices for a 12'x24' concrete pad to my existing lanai, and then screen it all in. His price was the best, and the quality of the work was excellent. Once he received the permit, the work was completed in a short period of time. I would recommend him to others looking for concrete and screening work.

The job was extending our patio and tying a new cage into our current pool cage. The work went as promised, on time and on budget. Ken's crew worked well to plan, construct and finish all work to include staining our old deck/patio to ensure it there would be no discernible difference in texture or coloring between old and new. Again, an Outstanding Job!

I have over 30 years of experience and served a 5 year apprenticeship. I was a superintendent for the world's second largest construction company. I am also a journeyman plumber, pipe fitter and gas fitter.
