- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I encourage all students to sign up for an introductory lesson. Individual lessons are as much about connecting personally as they are about gaining knowledge and skill set from another. In the introductory lesson, I will guide you through a series of exercises and warmups to assess your current level and technical abilities. Your goals and aspirations will then be discussed so that I can best assist you in strategies to meet those goals. There is no obligation to sign up for more lessons. If the studio feels like a good fit and you want to continue lessons, we can open a dialogue about starting a trimester package.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Music with honors- DePaul University, 2001 Master of Music- Florida State University, 2004 Artist Certificate in Opera- Florida State University, 2006 I began my musical journey at age 5, taking piano lessons from my mother. In elementary school I chose to begin violin, which I continued through college. My Bachelor of Music degree was in violin performance, though I was singing simultaneously. I ultimately decided to pursue singing for my professional career and I continue to play violin and piano as I greatly enjoy teaching all three instruments.
