FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices reflect not only my experience thus far and the quality of the products that I have thoughtfully selected for my professional kits (makeup kit, hair kit, and lighting equipment), but all the investments I’ve made in bettering myself through costly continued education. There is a travel fee as well. If I’m traveling to you, that’s a luxury service you’re looking to book. I take into account the distance, the tolls, and the time it’ll take to and from your location. All my prices quoted are STARTING prices so please DO NOT ask for a discount on the starting price. There are separate fees for a variety of different situations which are detailed in my Policy & Terms. I do give a discount to clients for a future service when they refer me and that service is completed. *** NOTE – Consultations of your desired makeup look is a complimentary service. However, a pre-event trial of your desired makeup look is $150 and hairstyling trials are $100 and up.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask a few questions: Name Date of event What services and for how many people. The zip code of the location. Send me photos of your hair, desired hairstyle, desired makeup, dress, and headpiece. Once these questions have been answered I look to book. Only after receiving their retainer do I proceed to get into details. Only then do I follow up with a more thorough consultation via phone call. I proceed to make a contract and forward my policy and terms for the bride to review. (Not necessary for non bridal clients) I make sure the bride is comfortable with the agreed looks. We confirm times and small details for the big day. I like to stay in touch to make sure things are running smoothly. A trial is strongly recommended! A week or two prior to the event, I’ll let the bride know a set of instructions I have for her and bridal party for the special day. Lastly, I’ll confirm two days prior to the event and ask for the remaining balance to be paid off. I show up and get the job done!
