Introduction: I provide editing, copy editing, proofreading and writing services. I am diligent and precise, with strong oral, written, and visual communication skills; I have a wicked eye for detail. As an effective copy editor, I correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, structure, and font issues. I'm adept at trimming away the superfluous to reveal the essential, bringing a consistent tone and style to any written piece; I love to recast awkward, unclear copy. I am articulate and can help organize your thoughts into a cogent, pointed piece of writing, whether that takes the form of a letter, an application, a resume, a complaint, a request or whatever you need. I fact-check, vetting all data to verify accuracy of names, dates, URLs, etc. I work in all modalities -- on paper, in PDF, and in Word's Track Changes. I'm also a photographer, photo editor/researcher, and a karate instructor. Each of those skill sets has raised my level of observation and accuracy. Teaching has enabled me to break down complex moves into their simpler components and to articulate how to approach or practice them via smaller, achievable steps.
