FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each type of project is different but yes, I have a a flat rate I charge for the easier projects in my mind. The more difficult ones I may have to map it out in my head overnight, but I will get you you're price within at most 24 hours of our first discussion!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you give me an idea of what you're looking for, I'll determine how complex of a project it is and precisely how much time and effort it will take. Some projects take me a half hour others take me 5 days, it really all depends on how much thought is put into it. If you come to me with no idea of what you want, that's absolutely fine, I'm the artist, it's just going to take me a bit more time obviously. I'll then give you a quote for the entire project, could be a little more by the end or it could be a little less, but it won't fluctuate too much from the original. I will then send you the rough copy with a somewhat transparent Queen City D-$igns logo over it, for copyright purposes, and if you like it, that's that. If you want changes made after our preliminary discussion depending on how much time is involved, the price could change, but overall, I've never had a dissatisfied customer and I'll make sure you're going to be happy with the final result!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been drawing since I could pick up a crayon, honest to god. At age 6 or 7 I could pretty much draw portraits of people. By third grade one of my art projects was picked to hang at the Capitol Building in Albany to showcase the young talent of New York. My parents then enrolled me in Art classes every weekend at the Carnegie Art Center for about 2 years, but I hated being told what to paint and draw. After graduating from Kenmore West High School in 2002 I attended about half a semester and Niagara County Community College for Business Management and Graphic Design, but I guess I've always had trouble learning things when forced, as well as a problem with authority so I dropped out. However the past 3 years I was disabled from a car accident, waiting and waiting for my SSD, and I figured why not try to learn this stuff on my own, and that's what I did! In about 3 months I pretty much mastered Adobe Photoshop! I don't have any degrees or certificates but my art speaks for itself, so you decide!
