FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge a $125 consultation fee paid at the time of first meeting. If we collectively decide to proceed with the job, a design fee on an hourly basis or a straight design fee is determined upon what the client prefers, the scope of work, and how much time is allotted for the job.. Every job is different and I always try to work toward the client's benefit. The consultation fee becomes a part of the arrangement. Often a straight fee is easier and less expensive for the client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Normally, a private meeting with the client at the site of work is the most beneficial though many clients have mailed their blue prints preliminary to job or construction work start. This way, any suggested changes will be orchestrated onto the plans as work commences. Once we have the meeting, a plan of action is started, work schedules and timing of all involved will be under taken including budgetary considerations.
