FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The owner of the company comes out to meet with the home owners to see what type of work needs to be done to their home. A Company profile with licenses, workers comp. and liability insurance coverages is given to the customers. Measurements and photos are taken. A verbal estimate is given to the customer after a few days depending on the scope of work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associate's degree in Business. I have been running my own construction company business since 1979, prior to that I worked for a custom home builder who did all his own work and taught me all aspects of construction from running heavy equipment, form work , concrete work, stair building, roofing , siding, doors, windows and finish carpentry etc.. My extensive knowledge of construction allows me to work on any and all parts of your home.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started by buying an apartment house and as tenants moved out I moved in and remodeled the entire apartment including wiring and plumbing. I knew I wanted to do construction for a living but did not want to practice on customers homes. Then one day I was fortunate enough to meet Bill, a custom home builder, in NH. He took me under his wing and for that I am very grateful.
