Let's work out SMARTER not harder! These core philosophies that I live by are born out of my personal experiences with 2 titanium rods in my back, a completely unbalanced approach to my health/fitness with way too much high intensity exercise and unaddressed stress, and a subsequent complete breakdown of my body. I was left barely able to stand up straight, let alone work out. Through research & personal experimentation, I had to completely rebuild my body from the ground up. Now, I love helping teach others how to take a more balanced approach to their health & fitness, so they can live *the good life* for their entire life! My clients tend to be: - experiencing back pain, post-injury or other joint/mobility issues - looking to get back into physical exercise from a long hiatus and are looking for a safe, gentle approach - already involved in high-intensity exercise and looking to find a more balanced, functional approach - feeling defeated after trying 6 week challenges and yo-yo diets and ready to learn how to establish sustainable healthy habits (food & fitness) for good

My wife and I worked with Melanie for one year and the results were simply…transformative. It’s not an overstatement to say that she changed our lives. What do I mean? Did we lose all of the weight we wanted to lose - yes, and we lost a LOT. Did we get stronger and leaner than we ever had been before - yes, and we ended up being fitter than we ever thought possible. But even more than that, Melanie taught us how to live lives that naturally embrace fitness and health. We learned a lot about how our bodies get stronger and healthier. We will never be the same and for that we will always be tremendously grateful for the gift of her guidance. There’s something special about the way she works - it’s kind of magical because at first you wonder how stretching and micro-movements can achieve the results in weight loss and strength you hoped for. And yet - it all worked. Some other things: Integrity - the highest. She is devoted to her clients and laser-focused on serving their needs. Yet she is very easy to work with. She has a sense of humor that lightened every hour we spent with her. And she’s genuinely passionate about helping her clients. She is warm and professional, easygoing and focused, funny and serious, wise and humble, all at the same time. We can’t say enough about how amazing she is. Just know that if you allow yourself to walk down the path with her, you will never be quite the same.

Mel is amazing to work with and has really improved my physical and mental well-being. She gets to know you personally and uses that to help target ways to achieve your personal goals. She has so much unique expertise on how to improve mobility and strength that she can help anyone function better, from an athlete to an older person. I have worked with personal trainers before and what she does is totally different and in my opinion much more beneficial.

I started training with Melanie to work on some persistent issues in my back and hips that were effecting my riding and running (at the time was racing in a couple triathlons a year). Melanie was very knowledgeable and I saw very quick results on my flexibility and tightness (if she gives you an exercise to do, but it hurts - do it, because it will work!). Melanie is also fun to train with - she’s cool and doesn’t try and get too technical on you. Put in the work and get the results.

Mel’s the best! She’s bright, down to earth and passionate about helping others. She exudes confidence and has a great energy! She has helped me develop a positive relationship to exercise, myself and my life. She’s a wealth of knowledge and has a way of explaining things in a fun and simple way. I also love her food/recipe recommendations. I’ve learned that you can eat healthy (and feel satisfied) without breaking the bank or having it be overly time consuming. Ecstatic to have finally found the right wellness strategy for me! I highly recommend her!
