FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies from project to protect based on a variety of factors. A few things that I take into consideration when creating a quote are how many colors, how many layers, overall size and complexity, working conditions, prep and design time, and location. When estimating murals or sign work, I charge a day rate of $250. So a simple logo would probably be a 1 Day project or $250. (some exceptions apply) Most murals average around $750. For an accent wall prices start at $250. Most faux finishes I price by the room starting around $400 for glazes, dry brushing, wet blending or stenciling. For more complicated techniques like marblization or texture work, prices start at $600 per room.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin with a conversation about what you are looking for, what your time frame is, and if there are any limitations or special considerations. At this point, we can look at sample images, colors, textures and the space. Once we have discussed the details of your project, we will work together to establish a final quote. I will then create multiple samples or sketches specific to your project for approval. Once everything has been decided upon we will schedule when the work should be done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated in 2007 with a MFA in theatrical design, emphasizing in illustration and scenic art. I have worked in theater and film for over 15 years painting backdrops, sets, and making custom props. I still work full time seasonally painting theatrical sets.
