- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Is the firm or person you plan to work with using gold standard tools? Meaning they have statistical backing and not just something they made up? If you are looking for coaching, most offer you a free session, and while this is good, make sure you feel comfortable with the person and they can add value further than just talking with you. A free session just to sell you on why I am worth it as a coach isn't value. You should feel you got something, a nugget of information that helped you. A coach should be able to hold you accountable as well they should have some kind of training/experience in it. I can hold all the certificates in the world but if I haven't used then pratrically (aka. business coaching when I am a life coach) then take the time to find someone better. Coaching is expensive and it should be. It is helping you through an important changing of the path in your life. If someone is offering a discounted rate, ask more questions on the tools they use, their certificates and their success history. You want someone that can help you not just talk with you.
