As a principal photographer for High Five, Juan Carlos Pelayo has become my go to photographer for pretty much every major event in my life. From acting headshots, wedding and anniversary shots to a secert sexy christmas calendar for my wife. We already have him booked for the birth of our first child, and my wife isn't even pregnant yet.
Juan's strength (other than his technical knowledge) is his ability to understand and relate to people. His people first approach allows him to talior his shoots in a way that represents, the emotions the subject would like to present. He uses his camera as a means to communicate, and he is fluent in the language of shutter and lighting.
Over the last 5 year, I have consistently been given shots that over exceeds my expectations. Can't wait to see how my baby boy or girl, first pictures look.
I can go on for days about his amazing abilities and his uncanny knack for finding the prefect angle, at the prefect time, but as a good friend over on the Reading Rainbow once told me, don't take my word for it. Let his work speak for itself.

I cannot emphasize enough how great of a photographer Juan Pelayo is & his creative visions for the perfect photograph. My husband & I made the best decision hiring him to take photos of our pregnancy shoot & photos of our newborn son James Manuel Benavides. Not only were the pictures perfect, but Juan's quality of work & creativity certainly shines through making the photos timeless.
